Artist Statement

Andrew Jordan is a Detroit-based artist and designer exploring relationships between sculpture, installation, puppetry, and the moving form of the human body. Often envisioned through the lens of Queer Mythology, Andrew has designed for both stage and screen, including projects spanning opera, contemporary dance, experimental theater, post-disciplinary performance, and parade.
Let us reimagine our perceptions of art and its role in societal transformation. Visual design and storytelling can be practices of intervention in the world.
