Boswell Hardwick

French Kiss | 35″ x 52″ | Giclée

Artist Statement

Boswell is influenced by the history of fashion and art but always keeps a keen eye on the future. “I’m a futurist at heart, I love the idea of what comes next.” Often exploring gender and identity in his work, this dynamic “gray-space” has always been fertile ground for the artist. The selected photographs in this exhibition play with those ideas. Boswell sees past the conventional and creates his own reality.
“French Kiss” captures Gus Drake, in Paris for Majesty Black, a fashion forward glove brand. Boswell worked with famed director Robert Lussier on the campaign. The image portrays the isolation of beauty and fragility of youth. These images were published in Kaltblut Magazine and used by the brand for print and promotion.
