Artist Statement

These painted landscapes represent a detailed map of my experiences in nature. I use paint and color to investigate the nuances that exist in daily life and depict these energies, emotions, moments, and occurrences with paint. I incorporate symbols and patterns that are historically significant to the queer community and call attention to specific areas within the frame. These compositions are meant to provide a safe space to just exist, observe, and reflect in a rapidly-changing world.
