Artist Statement

Nathan Rapport is a California and NY based multimedia artist and gallery owner. Guided by formative years in San Francisco, his art celebrates the connection between the queer present and ancestral history. Through his work as a painter, illustrator, muralist, designer, and art director, he manifests his visions of queer utopia.
In February of 2019, Nathan co-opened A Love Bizarre – a brick and mortar gallery that housed over 80 queer artists and makers, and provided physical space for LGBTQIA creative voices to gather and sustain. Facing pandemic realites, A Love Bizarre closed its doors in April of 2020. Nathan galvanized and reimagined how gallery and gather can co-exist, launching a platform committed to nurturing long-term queer creative visibility and sustainability, DREAM BROTHER. Nathan currently lives and works in Hudson, NY.
