Artist Statement

From Apart, Come Together offers a chosen family of objects that each relates to one another. They share commonalities while also distinguishing themselves as individuals. In these objects, the missing curve is sometimes left visually complete with negative space. Other times, the missing curve is hugged by another material. Like the objects presented, we may also find common ground when we gather and share. People often fit together in unexpected and yet natural ways.
